Tragedy in Lokoja: Photographer Killed, Manhunt Launched for Suspect

Authorities in Lokoja are currently investigating a disturbing incident that occurred in the early hours of today. A young man, identified as Mr. Ayo—a local photographer—was reportedly found dead under tragic circumstances in his residence.

According to preliminary reports, a male individual—believed to have been acquainted with the victim—has been declared a person of interest by law enforcement agencies. It is alleged that the individual may have lured Mr. Ayo to his apartment before committing the crime. The victim’s body was later discovered in a highly distressing state, and attempts may have been made to conceal or dispose of it.

Witness accounts and local sources indicate that the suspect may have vacated Lokoja prior to the incident and is believed to be on the move. Security operatives have since launched a manhunt and are appealing to the public for any information that could assist in locating the individual in question.

Residents are urged to remain calm, vigilant, and avoid direct contact with the suspect if sighted.
If you have any relevant information, please report immediately to the nearest police station or security authority.

This is a deeply saddening case, and our thoughts are with the family and friends of the deceased. As investigations continue, we urge the public to refrain from spreading unverified information and to allow the authorities to carry out their duties.

Stay alert, stay safe.
