The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Ward 04 of Yagba East Local Government Area, Kogi State, has reaffirmed the membership of Hon. Leke Abejide, the lawmaker representing Yagba Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
In a strong show of support, the ward members also commended Hon. Abejide for his outstanding contributions to the growth of the party at the grassroots, particularly in his home ward.
This development follows a recent move by a faction of the ADC at the state level, which allegedly announced the suspension of the lawmaker on Monday.
However, Ward 04 leadership has dismissed the purported suspension, restating their full confidence in Hon. Abejide. Their position was contained in a communiqué issued after an extraordinary meeting held on Tuesday.
The communiqué, made available to journalists in Lokoja shortly after the meeting, was signed by the Ward Chairman, Moshood Fadumila, and the Ward Secretary, Sola Bashir Sunday.
