Meet Our Chairman of the Day — Engr. Ayodele Olawande, Honourable Minister for Youth Development**
We are thrilled to announce the confirmation of Engr. Ayodele Olawande, Honourable Minister for Youth Development, as the Chairman of the Day at this year’s grand event.
A seasoned Construction Engineer, Community Development Practitioner, and dedicated Youth Advocate, Engr. Olawande brings to the table a wealth of experience, infectious energy, and an unshakeable passion for youth empowerment. Fondly referred to as the “Youth General,” he embodies the spirit of visionary leadership that our generation needs.
As the youngest Minister in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s cabinet, his meteoric rise is both inspiring and historic. His political journey gained national attention when he was elected as the Ondo State APC Youth Leader on October 16, 2021. In a powerful twist of destiny, exactly two years later — October 16, 2023 — he was sworn in as the Minister of State for Youth and Sports Development. By October 23, 2024, he was reassigned to lead the newly created Ministry for Youth Development, making him the first-ever Minister to hold that portfolio.
