Ofu LG Chairman Flags Off Rice Distribution

The Executive Chairman, Ofu Local Government Council, Hon Muhammed Musa Lawal has called on the people of the LGA to be peaceful and law abiding citizens as they celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ in this season.

Hon Muhammed Lawal, who made the call during the flag off and distribution of Christmas souvenirs at the Local Government Secretariat, Ugwolawo, charged the Christians faithfuls to reflect in the lifestyle and teaching of Jesus Christ while on earth which encompasses of love, obedience and sacrifices which are the core values of Christianity that Jesus taught during his life time on earth.

He urged Christians to be prayerful and not to forget to pray for the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo to be successful, adding that the administration of Governor Ododo has the welfare of the people in focus.

In a press release signed by Omede Idoko Samuel, Principal Information Officer, Ofu Local Government Council, Hon Lawal thanked Governor Ododo for his support for grass root mobilizations. He added that Governor Usman Ododo will continue to carry the people along.

Earlier, the DLG/HOS, Ofu Local Government Council, Deaconess Racheal Ukwo John, while handing over the souvenirs to the Chairman for distribution, said that the period of Christmas is the period of love and sharing, noting that this is what Governor Ododo had demonstrated by extending the hand of love to the people in this festive season.

Deaconess Ukwo John urged the people of Ofu Local Government to continue to support the administration of Governor Ododo to succeed, adding that the administration of Governor Ododo is people-friendly.
