Open Letter to NASS Members from Okun Land on Deplorable State of Kabba-Egbe-Ilorin Road

Distinguished Senator Sunday Karimi, Elder Leke Abejide,

Let’s stop pretending. We all know who is destroying Kabba–Egbe–Ilorin road: Dangote/ Mangal Cement trucks.

The road didn’t wake up one morning and decide to crack. It’s the daily torture of overloaded trucks that has turned a federal lifeline into a death trap.

You were elected to defend the people, not to look away while a company wrecks our only road to survival.

If Mangal / Dangote Cement can move billions in cement, then they can also move billions into fixing the road they’re destroying. That’s common sense, that’s justice.

This is not charity we are asking for — it’s accountability. Call them out, call them in, drag them to the table.

We refuse to be silent while our people dodge potholes like landmines and lose lives on a road that should be their right.

History will judge your silence.

– Oladapo Mikky writes from Okun Land.
